The Tucker Tigers Football team secured a spot in the semi-final round of the state AAAA championships by defeating top ranked Westside-Macon by a score for 31-20 on November 28,2008.
This marks the third time Tucker has made it to the semi-finals in six years.
The semi-final game against the Griffin Bears will take place on Friday December 5th at 7:30 pm. The game will be played at Adams Stadium which has a seating capacity of 6,500. The good news is that Hallford is the larger stadium of the two and has artificial turf. It holds 15,600 while Adams Stadium holds 6,500. Built 1968, the James R. Hallford Stadium is located at 3789 Memorial College Avenue, Clarkston, Georgia 30021; on the central campus of Georgia Perimeter College in Clarkston, two miles outside I-285.
Tickets are $12.00 and available in advance at the Tucker High School front office. If the Tigers are successful against Griffin, they would play next for the State Championship on December 12 at the Ga Dome against the winner of the Marist vs Rome game to also be played Friday night December 5th.
